ABOUT THE ARTIST

Agnieszka Zapotoczna (born 1994) is a self-taught contemporary abstract painter who lives and works in Wroclaw, Poland

 

Her works reflect her perception of the world through the prism of neuroatypicality.

In her art, Aga employs gestures, irregular lines, and splashes of paint to create expressive and emotional works. The subject matter of her pieces is often suggestive, exploring the complexities of the human mind, interpersonal relationships, emotions, and neurodiversity.

She applies media to the canvas in a bold and intuitive manner, creating organic shapes and non-discursive compositions.

Aga's work is characterized by rich colors and contrasts, as well as subtle nuances and textural effects. She employs mixed techniques, including brushwork, dripping, throwing, and scratching, to achieve the effects characteristic of her unique style.
